seattle

we've been planning a memorial weekend seattle trip with geoff and akasha for awhile. we decided to suck it up and make the 14 hour drive. and, it actually wasn't too bad. i got to sit by my favorite baby niece. she is the cutest! i totally forgot my camera - credit goes to my sister-in-law akasha for the awesome pictures.

we spent a night at safeco field watching these boys play some ball:

SUCH a great game! ichiro and ken griffey jr. never disappoint

lighten up

i love springtime, and byu campus is gorgeous in the spring. with allergies, it's a love/hate relationship with the thousands of flowers and tree pollen in the air, but i still love it. i am way into light and bright these days, especially whites. i love these images of light, airy spring...

don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?

name that movie! anyone? anyone?

nate's stepmom sent me home with a pink gerber daisy plant (thanks shannon!). it totally brightens up our kitchen. i love it.

i like to think that one day, we'll live on a lot of land, and i'll have a huge flower garden, and everyday i'll have fresh flowers in my kitchen. and then i'll pick fresh herbs out of my garden and make the most delicious concoctions like ina garten. maybe?

californ-I-A

we headed to california this weekend! we visited nate's mom in agoura hills, hit up my first dodgers baseball game, then drove down to irvine to see our good friends matt and belize. we rode all over balboa on beach cruisers, ate balboa bars and frozen bananas, barbequed, soaked up some sun, and loved every minute of it. thanks m and b! mother's day was spent with nate's family in temecula, then it was time to get back to real life - and class on monday morning!

oh man

our life is jam packed right now, but we're loving (or maybe just surviving?) it. we're both in spring classes, working, and getting ready for our real world jobs. nate is taking on the gmat in june and i have to complete 37 hours of pre-work for teach for america. yikes. we snuck off to california this weekend and had a grand old time. evidence to come later...

we officially move to the windy city in june.
and it's official, because as of last week, we will not be homeless. and our apartment is bigger than a closet!
