recovering from a c-section has been really rough for me. i feel like a crazy woman most of the time, but slowly i know things will normalize. it was such a gift to have family in town for the long weekend and have help with the babe. even though i've been laying low, we still wanted to do as many fun things as we could with our family.

had to take everybody to smoque...or as my dad would say, "smoke-que"
don't mind my appearance. makeup is a long lost friend of mine.

want the worst-ever idea? take your 2.5 week old baby to the taste of chicago when it's 95 degrees + full humidity outside plus you can barely walk because your stomach was recently slashed open. while i'm glad everyone got a taste of the taste, sage and i quickly booked it home after some roasted corn and spent the rest of the day relaxing in an air-conditioned room.

i'm 100% positive that when my mom is with me pushing the stroller, everyone thinks sage is her child and i'm the teenage sister

nate has been a dream. he is so helpful and i love watching him with sage.

we loved having everyone here one last time before we move. sage already misses the attention and being held all day.
