hello goodbye

in our last days after finals, nate and i celebrated my cousins matt and megan's graduation, packed up our lives and purchased our first storage unit, and moved home.

we said hello to some of my favorite cousins...
and goodbye to lots of other things like...

it's good to be home. i am in seattle and nate is in san diego. i jumped head first into wedding planning and purchasing today now that i have a mom with a visa card :) life is fabulous!

approximately twenty-three minutes ago, i aced my last final. it feels so good to be done!

this is me studying for finals two years ago when i studied abroad in paris. after i finished these finals, i stopped by my favorite patisserie to pick up a treat, said hello to the eiffel tower out my window, and danced through the empty halls of the underground metro tunnelways. it was fabulous.

there are no pastries in my life right now: i am getting married. there is no eiffel tower and no metro to skip through. BUT I did skip down the streets of provo and say hello to my cute little house that i am moving out of tomorrow. happy end of the semester to ALL!!

while i am taking a break from postmodernism, i also just want to say that i love this boy so very much. he is so thoughtful and an amazing example to me. i am a lucky one :)

i'm lovin it

i wish my mind could focus on finals 24/7, but this is just not possible, so i am taking a break from postmodernism and saying hello to my blog. here are some things i am loving right now...

the color red...especially in kitchens! i love red kitchenware

this girl named belize. she just makes me smile. and she's moving to california. i don't want to think about it.

secret: dutch mints are my favorite candy. and they just happen to be a great study companion for those times when your brain hurts from thinking about absurdism and Samuel Beckett.

there you have it. two more days of this, then off to seattle to get down to business...a.k.a plan a wedding in three weeks.

happy bridal shower

this past weekend, my adorable friends and family threw a bridal shower for me. it was so cute! my interior designer aunt seriously can work miracles in any room...she is so creative. for my french obsession, there was a crepe bar, pastries, and fabulous brie. thank you to all who came and all who helped - especially megan and belize. it was such a nice break!

thank you flu bug...

This has been a sick week...flu, fever, aches, you name it. Luckily Nate is staying healthy. Basically, my meals consist of Sprite, Saltines, and Chicken Noodle Soup. I am so ready to be done with this semester and done with this flu bug!
