as we were flying from seattle to tokyo, i was making a mental list of things i love about singapore. it's hard for me to go back after basking in the ease of cars, target, costco, real turkey sandwiches, babysitters that are related to me, backyards with grass, homemade ice cream, summer traditions, and a country/culture i understand. i don't usually write about the things that drive me up a wall in our foreign life...like constant war with bugs, or how it takes hours to get even the simplest errand accomplished.
i don't mean to whine though. i realize that we have clean water, that we even have the option of traveling.
i realize that we are living a dream, doing what we always talked about.
it's just not always that exotic or easy.

at times, neither was the flight home...
i will say this though: i love traveling with nate.
he takes care of everything and gives me his business class upgrades.
a glimpse of life back in our singapore routines...
