have you seen the movie pitch perfect? i hadn't...until we stayed with nate's sister in utah. and then i watched the movie multiple times, and we hummed the songs constantly, and even sang a special a cappella birthday rendition for jordan's new year's day birthday.
though i spent my college years here and i love visiting utah, it was also so. cold. anyway, those are the two things that stand out in my mind from our week-long visit to salt lake city.
the very BEST part was of course seeing fab friends and family though.
we did a lot of fun things with the lawler sibs, like playing indoor soccer, eating at our favorite places that don't exist in singapore (ahem, cafe rio), playing games every night, sledding in sugar house...

...and cramming all of us into a one bedroom apartment. it's all about the memories, right? hopefully we'll all forget the memories of sage's crying waking everyone up in the middle of the night!
did i mention it was like 6 degrees most of the time? brrrrrr.
we pretended it was warm for a few seconds to snap some family photos:
we also got to meet this darling kid and reunite with dear singapore friends.
sage was a little too interested in helping jane feed max.
and i was so happy to see most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins in utah.
i think i need a little boy now after holding this guy. those overalls? seriously.

as usual, i'm glad we can always find a reason to come back here.
i love visiting.
the party ended for nate as he headed back to singapore with three 70-pound suitcases full of costco, target, and trader joe's.
as per tradition (hah! the two times we've come back to the US), i extended my american stay.
your pics of sledding are fantastical! so crisp. i am shivering as i look at this family pic of you all standing on the bridge, but such a good photo of all of you. you look gorgeous! max loved sage's feeding...just think, one day at their wedding we can show them this picture and they'll laugh!
ReplyDeleteSo much to say. First—BEST. MOVIE. EVER! It's my new movie to quote from. Fat Amy. Love her. Ha. Second—Your photos are gorgeous as always. Thankfully, I can't feel the freezing weather through the screen because Utah looks heavenly.
ReplyDeleteYour Utah trip looks fun! Freezing cold, but still so fun! Glad you were able to spend time with family and friends!
