we spent a perfect weekend in bangkok.
and by perfect i mean it was just the right amount of time, nothing went majorly wrong, and it was fun to be together, the three of us.
thanks to excellent recommendations, we...
indulged in iced hot chocolate and mango sticky rice, got cheap tandem foot massages (and basically free babysitting since all the spa ladies took turns holding and playing with sage), picked out a beautiful thai silver platter (i miss my dishes! and having a real kitchen!), sat in classic bangkok "traffic jam" (ridiculous traffic), found some treasures at the overwhelmingly huge chatuchak weekend market, and relaxed in between.

my favorite part of the trip was this meal. it was to die for.
we had dinner at blue elephant with a new friend we met. it didn't hurt that this coconut ice cream concoction ended everything perfectly:

i'll remember bangkok by its hot pink taxis, crazy cables, and the fact that there is actually no option for heat in the cabs. only cold and colder. bangkok is hot!
my biggest regret is that we didn't go to the weekend market. but... maybe next time (i don't know there will be a next time). also, i didn't notice the "cold and colder" option in the cabs!!! how funny. i DID notice the lack of seatbelts though.
ReplyDeleteYou look so much like Jessica Biel in these pictures! Bangkok looked so fun... love Sagie's dress! :)
ReplyDeleteThailand looks so FUN! The food looks amazing. Sage is the coolest traveling baby. By the way, that striped skirt with your red toms is cute!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! And you are a fabulous photographer. I love all of your photos!
