we've lived in singapore for a whole year.
time has flown by. i look down at this little girl walking circles around me and can't believe we arrived in asia with a tiny newborn. we all grew up a lot in the last year.
our favorite things about singapore...
i love that little kids point to sage and say "mei mei" (mandarin for "little sister")
we celebrate so many holidays--muslim, hindu, christian, and other cultural days
singapore has campaigns for everything.
my favorite is the kindness movement, with signs that say things like "there's always time to make someone's day!"
we've tested out our fair share of public transit.
singapore wins.
it's clean and efficient, but forget about getting a taxi when it's raining!
travel, travel, travel.
have you seen how teensy tiny singapore is on a map?
the rest of southeast asia is at our fingertips.
travel an hour in any direction and you're in a different country.

i was going to document our best AND worst of singapore, but i figured i'd keep it positive. if you read this blog, you already know that my arch nemesis is any kind of tropical bug, and that we're sweaty all.the.time.
...here's to another year!
wow, who is that amazing person who took that first picture of you and sage? JK
ReplyDeletecongrats on 1 year down in singy...seriously though, it is a huge accomplishment!
