this summer in the bay has been...
the summer of the cast.
broken legs should not be allowed for little kids. it was a long slog, but we still managed to do fun things (like ride all the carousels!). my biceps did not get more toned, but my back hurt a little more after hauling sage and nora up and down those three flights of stairs multiple times a day. sage still limps a little :(
the summer of eating dessert first.
the summer of trying new things
i could sing praises for google shopping express for eternity. we also tried blue apron (a meal delivery service...great food, too much prep) and munchery (great food, couldeatthiseverynight). since this is the center of the new apps universe, we tested out all kinds of new services.
the summer of loud nights
homeless people digging through the dumpsters, glass bottles being dumped from the bar next door, yelling, laughing, cars, freeway...we got a little taste of it all each night. and how can i forget the smell of marijuana wafting into our loft at six p.m. almost daily?
the summer of adventuring

we crossed lots and lots of things off our sf bucket list. even some random things, like the 16th avenue mosaic steps in the foggy sunset district.

the summer of mosquito bites
sage got five on her face one night. somehow they meandered into our loft and stayed all summer no matter what we did. good thing i love the smell of citronella candles.
the summer of saltwater sandal tans
you know it's been a good summer when you've got a sandal tan.
What a summer!
