reflections

today we had the privilege to celebrate the life of my family's dear friend harold lefrandt. brain cancer took his body, but i am sure he is already partying it up in heaven. the funeral was so awesome--such a wonderful tribute to an amazing man. his daughter, jeanette, and i grew up together and i continue to be amazed by her strength and courage. she's a good one.

through moving music and talks, i reflected on how blessed we are to have the knowledge of eternal life. i grow more and more grateful for my binding temple marriage as time goes on. harold's legacy also helped remind me of what the important things are in life, especially what the important goals are in life. sometimes it is hard to see past ourselves, past our insecurities, past day to day worries, past tasks and people and time, to truly look at life from an eternal perspective.

we are blessed. so blessed.
