let's do this, san francisco

 we moved into our loft. 

the loft that took us two months of bleary-eyed craigslist searching, emails, and networking to find. the loft where we're hoping our children will sleep like angels despite the fact there are no doors in the space. but we're not homeless!

i can't help it. even when we go on road trips "with no plans" i secretly have a google doc full of restaurant phone numbers and museum hours. i live to plan and i plan to live. i've been studying up on good old saint francisco and i'm ready to check things off my list! double stroller and all.

we kicked off the summer with my parents in town for the weekend.
and by in town, i mean they saved my life as we flew with my kids+6 suitcases, 2 car seats, 2 strollers from seattle to sfo. you'd think i would have this down, but some of these short flights i've done lately have been harder than our 15 hour flights from asia. can we all agree everything is trickier with children, whether you have one or six?

anyway, we biked across the golden gate bridge, had lunch in sausalito, rode the ferry past alcatraz, picked up breakfast at the ferry building farmer's market, toured the google office, rode the cable car over russian hill, packed in a few ghiradelli sundaes, grabbed tony's margherita pizza, drove down lombard street and out to oakland, montara, and half moon bay, and walked miles upon miles. playing tourist with my mom and dad is always fun.

"60 degrees" sounded a lot more summer-y in my head, but thankfully we all have cozy jackets to spend the summer in now. we'll save the summer outfits for "september" (hot, hot, hot) in durham. it's good to be back on the west coast!
